It is hard to talk to someone you don't know about stuff that isn't going well. Anyone who doesn't stay down or searches for help when it is needed....is a Hero! Giving up is not an option. We are here to assist you in your courageous journey! Vonna provides counseling and psychotherapy for individuals, caregivers, and families. In her previous work with AACOG and the Alamo Area Agency on Aging, Vonna was a Long-Term Care Ombudsman (advocate) for residents’ rights at nursing homes and assisted living facilities. She also was employed with AACOG as a Certified Benefits Counselor II. In addition, she works extensively with veterans and persons with disabilities to coordinate services with providers. Vonna Smith has worked as a Medical Social Worker with a hospice provider in San Antonio. Mrs. Smith is a member of the National Association of Social Workers. Mrs. Smith supports various non-profits including Texas Grandparents Raising Grandchildren and the Alzheimer’s Association. She is also a member of the Alamo Caregiver Support Coalition.
